How to Switch Your Store to "US-Only" Suppliers (A 10-Minute Guide)

Okay, you are sold on the idea. You want fast shipping. You want happy customers.

But how do you actually find these suppliers?

If you go to AliExpress and type "ships from USA," you usually get a lot of lies. A lot of those sellers are just lying about their location to get your click, and then they ship it from China anyway.

You need a filter that actually works.

Here is the exact workflow I use to build a catalog of US-based products in under 10 minutes. You can follow along right now if you open a free Spocket account in a new tab.

Step 1: The "Magic" Filter Once you are inside the dashboard, don't just start scrolling. You’ll get overwhelmed. Look at the sidebar on the left. You will see a filter option called "Ships From." This is your best friend.

  • Select USA (or Europe, depending on your target).

  • Pro Tip: Leave "Ships To" as "USA" as well. This ensures you aren't finding a US supplier that doesn't ship domestically (it happens).

Step 2: Check the "Processing Time" (The Hidden Killer) This is where most rookies mess up. Shipping time is how long the truck takes. Processing time is how long the warehouse takes to pack the box. If Shipping is 2 days, but Processing is 7 days, your customer is still waiting 9 days. On the product card, look for the little truck icon. You want to see:

  • Processing: 1-3 Business Days

  • Shipping: 1-3 Business Days Total time = Under a week. Perfect.

Step 3: Verify the "Listing Cost" vs. "Retail Price" Spocket will suggest a retail price for you, but I usually ignore it. I look at the Listing Cost (what you pay). Example:

  • Listing Cost: $15 (includes shipping)

  • Competitor Price on Amazon: $25

  • Your Potential Price: $28-$30 (if your branding is good). If the margin isn't at least 30-40%, skip it. There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Step 4: The One-Click Import Once you find a product that passes the "Filter" test and the "Margin" test, hover over it and click "Add to Import List." You don't need to download images or copy-paste descriptions. Go to your Import List tab, tweak the title so it sounds like your brand (never keep the default title!), and push it to your store.

Summary You don't need to fly to a trade show in Las Vegas to find American suppliers. You just need to use the right filters.

It takes about 10 minutes to populate a store with 20 high-quality, fast-shipping products. Give it a try here and see what you can find in the "US" filter today.

Is "Slow Boat" Shipping Killing Your Dropshipping Store? (The US/EU Fix)

et’s be real for a second. When was the last time you waited 35 days for a package? Exactly. You didn’t. If you ordered a hoodie online and it didn’t show up for a month, you’d probably assume you got scammed. You’d be emailing support, asking for a refund, and swearing never to buy from that store again. So, why do we expect our customers to put up with it? For years, "Just use AliExpress" was the standard advice for new dropshippers. It was cheap, the catalog was huge, and nobody really cared about shipping times. But the game has changed. We live in an Amazon Prime world now. People panic if their order isn't at their doorstep in 48 hours. If you are still building your business on the back of 4-week shipping from China, you aren't building a brand. You’re building a customer service nightmare. The "Where is my order?" Trap I’ve seen it happen a dozen times. You find a winning product, you run ads, and the sales start rolling in. You feel like a genius...
